If the farmer's almanac is correct, winter is coming! The forecast calls for an "ice cold and snow filled" winter. The first blanketing of snow is a sight to behold, as are the wonderful holiday events throughout town and beyond. To get into the holiday spirit, consider joining Christa on December 6 as she takes you to NYC to visit the holiday windows and Rockefeller Center. There are many other events to enjoy in town, to name a few:
Please consider local organizations who help those in need. Options are many for donating money or your time. Westport's Department of Health and Human Services provides a Holiday Giving Program for Westport residents in need. Gas and grocery gift cards are in most appreciated, or gift cards for stores in which they can shop for holiday gifts. Learn more about their program here. Homes with Hope runs many programs to help the homeless. You can give back by donating to their food pantry, serving a meal in the kitchen, or becoming a mentor. Learn more here.
Our member directory is in process and should be ready shortly - look out for them in your inbox in early 2017. Many thanks to Carol Waterworth for putting the directory together.
We hope you will join us for our Holiday Party at NEAT on Thursday December 1st, please RSVP if you haven't already. We wish you a joyous holiday season and a happy New Year!
With thanks, See you at the holiday party!
